“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain” (Hebrews 6:29).
An anchor keeps the ship steady, it’s always at the bottom of the ship, out of sight but it’s very effective when cast aright. It stabilizes the ship and it’s a guarantee for safety and security.
God’sWord is #ouranchor. When we are troubled we can depend on the Word to give us peace; In times of sorrow, God’s Word comforts us and it’s a source of joy; when it seems all hope is gone, God’s Word gives us the assurance of victory; For every of our needs, we can trust in God’s Word for the provision (John 15:7).
Remember God and His Word are the same and God watches over His Word to fulfill it.
Just as the captain of the ship trusts the anchor to stabilize the ship, our trust in God’s Word makes us strong and stable ( Psalm 125).
The Bible says God will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him, all whose thoughts are fixed on Him (Isaiah 26:3).
God by His Word can sustain us in any situation but we have to faithfully trust Him. Faith makes all things possible because as the Bible says “All things are possible to him who believes!” (Mark 9:23). Amen!
